"Life hasn't been easy on sixteen-year-old Emma Connor, so a new start in New York may be just the change she needs. But the posh Upper East Side prep school she has to attend? Not so much. Friendly faces are few and far between, except for one that she's irresistibly drawn to Brendan Salinger, the guy with the rock-star good looks and the richest kid in school, who might just be her very own white knight." - Goodreads One of the best YA paranormal romances that I have read in a very long time! This book was VERY well written, and I really enjoyed how it flowed. Cara Lynn Shultz creates a realistic world with the antagonistic, evil teen girl, the jock, the class freak, and the bad boy. But shockingly, it was not cliched in any way! Her characters were very believable, and were people I could very easily see as being real. You could feel the struggle and frustration between Emma and Brendan as they tried to figure out the situation they were involved in. This book was perfect in every way, and I look forward to reading more from Cara Lynn Shultz!!! |
